Welcome to my life, thoughts & inspiration!

Hola (oh-lah) or in English, Helloooooooooo!!

STOP #3

NICARAGUA

March 2019!! Nicaragua!! This country is located in Central America, set between the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea. It’s known for it’s dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches. The Spanish language is spoken in Nicaragua. Some popular dishes include gallo pinto (mix of rice and beans), vigorón (cabbage salad with yuca and fried pork skin) and platanos (fried plantain). As of 2019, the population is 6,347,823 people with a rate of 49% male and 51% female. Over 90% of the population are of Christian denominations with 73% following Roman Catholic. There is great poverty and political unrest in the country of Nicaragua. In this country, we will be budding relationships with abandoned children over sports, English and arts and crafts.

Nicaragua is going to be so amazing and I’m pumped to see what God has in store for this country. Playing with kids is definitely one of my favorite things to do along with building relationships so I can’t wait to tear that soccer field up and pick up on some more Spanish.

Prayers over Nicaragua include peace and happiness within the lives of communities and politics. I also pray for God’s touch in places of poverty and empty voids. I pray that God uses us as a middle man to build relationships with abandoned children and families in Nicaragua.

Love always,
