JANUARY 14TH!

Just one week from today I will be arriving at the Adventures in Missions base in Gainesville, Georgia for a couple weeks of training camp before heading to Guatemala. This is so exciting! I've been looking forward and preparing for this moment with bags (not yet) packed and an open mind to receive what the Lord has in store for me, knowing it will take much sacrifice along the way. The past couple weeks have been full of time with friends, in scripture, doing all the fun things I'll miss over the next year & many "c ya laters"!

Through excitement of the moment finally arriving, all I've been thinking about, working towards & fundraising for over the past year, I am also nervous. I've had many second thoughts, feeling that I need more confirmation if this is the "right" choice and what God truly called me to, worry surrounding meeting and learning to live and create family with 20 strangers & fear surrounding my health & stomach problems without my normal go to safety foods......... but at the end of the day as we know, the devil is still a liar. I am recognizing the distraction he's trying to do in my life even as I prepare to leave & know that there is greatness & growth with our Father ahead.

I've been trying to come up with more words over the past week to express my feelings of leaving so soon but I think I'm feeling so much, I don't know what to even say. So I'm going to leave this here...

Thank you for all your support, prayers, finances, resources, every thing that has got me to this point. It took many baby steps to get here and I am confident it is exactly where God wants me to be.
