Golllllllly, since it’s been awhile here’s a recap of the past 3 months in my life.
•Monday thru Friday, I nannied two little girls who have now practically become my sisters. I taught virtual school and lived in a creative and imaginative environment building forts and going to any park that didn’t have caution tape surrounding it.
•After 3 years of leading middle school Wyld Life, I have finally met with each of my girls one on one and chose to pursue a greater friendship with each of them.
•I had to say goodbye to a baby who is not so much of a baby anymore but who I have watched since 3 months old and is now almost 2 and moving across the country 🙁
•A lot of my time was spent scrolling through my photos and text messages, looking back on the great life my brother Malik lived before taking his life on March 3rd, 2020.
•My best friend Kennedy & I celebrated our birthday together at a very nice restaurant with people we loved.
•Movies have become a thing in my life now as I have actually hated them previously… weird, I know.
•Visiting my sister in Austin, Texas was probably my favorite memory & I may have dreams of moving there soon….
•I read more than usual, still only finished one book but it’s better than nothing….
•Truly found my passion for children and people and finally decided to listen to where the Lord is calling me.
•The night before Halloween, I went through a scary corn maze for the first time. Can’t even explain how scared I was or how close to peeing my pants I got.
•Started a friendship that could never be replaced with a girl I met in Florida. She visited me in Oregon and we went skydiving on Halloween so also got to check somethin off my bucket list.
•Found a love for shoes & bought about 10 pairs in just a few months /:
•Visited Hawaii which was the best thing in the world!!!!!!!! First time/checked off another adventure on my bucket list!!
•Tried snowboarding for the first time with my high school bestie! No lessons, just youtube:))
•GOT TATTED
•Met soooo many new friends, it’s ridiculous, God has blessed me.
Never have I ever had the wanting and longing to create a new life, to leave my old self behind and to learn how to live like Jesus did in purity and in love. I went through a breakup that taught me a deeper understanding of my relationship with God. I’m on a road of seeking someone who is immeasurable, someone who loves me more than anyone ever could, who is a Father but also the perfect image of a true husband. The manna that my Lord will provide over these next few months will leave a gap between the old and the new. This is a time I will take to pause, to serve the Lord for all there is to come. _______________________________________
These past few months have been crazy and full of amazing goodness, new adventures, a lot of growth and spent in a very comfortable place. I have decided to spend my next 3 months outside of the states, serving where the Lord wants me. My team and I will be partnering with local churches in San Jose, Costa Rica January 26 to April 22nd of 2021. We will engage in a variety of ministries to bring lift to these local churches, from evangelism to kids ministry to work projects and so on! We will be the hands and feet of Jesus in the midst of a chaotic life at home.
I will be flying to Gainesville, Georgia January 21st to begin my trip at Training Camp where my entire team will finally get to meet each other. Over these few days in Georgia leading up to launch we get to worship together, do all the ice breakers and get to know each other as much as possible before we leave and best of all… take bucket showers 🙂 I am taking these coming days as an opportunity to fast what the Lord has on my heart in these coming months. The good days will come, the hard days will come and God will always come through.
Please continue to pray protection, unity and for the hearts of all racers as all the teams launch this season.
Love always,
<3 P
